Nyankom

Tarrietia utilis Sprague

Being particularly resinous, in addition to making gluing difficult, Nyankom tends to wear out the tools used, but it is still easy to work. For nailing, it is good to proceed with preliminary drilling, since the wood offers great resistance to nail penetration. It is widely used for works exposed to the weather, shipbuilding, fixtures, and in general for all works of heavy carpentry. It is also suitable for flooring and lathe work.
